I've been in a still life season for a while now. It's rare for me to stick with one theme. It feels like I've been traveling all around, but finally found a place where I want to linger a bit longer. It's a nice feeling.

Finally getting out of the hectic period of admin work and back to focused creative mode.
Outside of the window is the last snow of the season (I hope.) I keep the studio warm and breathe in the gratitude I feel for this time I get to make things.

My head was full this morning, processing everyone’s schedules. Then I found a moment in my studio. Seeing yesterday’s work sitting quietly on my desk, I got right back into it. Quiet excitement took over. Nothing compares to this feeling.

今朝は家族の予定の把握で頭がぱんぱんでしたが、隙間時間を見つけてアトリエへ避難。昨日からそのままの静かなデスク。一瞬で空気が切り替わる。穏やかで確かな高揚感。これに勝る心境ってちょっとない。
