I step into the chilly studio on a December morning. I sip my coffee and look at yesterday's work waiting on the table. Nothing grounds me more than this still moment.

I don't usually open Instagram in the morning, but I had to share this favorite part of the day. As long as I have this, I know I'll be okay.

My head was full this morning, processing everyone’s schedules. Then I found a moment in my studio. Seeing yesterday’s work sitting quietly on my desk, I got right back into it. Quiet excitement took over. Nothing compares to this feeling.

Today’s practice. Proud of myself for showing up, even for 15 minutes, especially on a Monday after the weekend threw me off. Showing up is half the battle.

週明けはなかなかエンジンがかかりませんが、たとえ15分でも描ければ花丸💮スタートがいちばんむずかしい。

It’s been a while to log on here and I almost forgot how to post. It feels liberating to break the cycle, but I have so much art to share, I don’t know where to start.

Now the kids are back to school and quietness has returned. Feeling grateful but bit drained by the constant quake updates. I took a long walk yesterday, my hands were freezing but walking fast and getting fresh air always helps.

冬休みが終わって子どもたちは学校に戻り、ありがたい気持ち。地震の余波で気疲れしていると感じるけれど、早歩きの散歩がよく効く。寒い空気の中ぐんぐん歩くと気持ちがリセットされる。

Now the kids are back to school and quietness has returned. Feeling grateful but bit drained by the constant quake updates. I took a long walk yesterday, my hands were freezing but walking fast and getting fresh air always helps.
